C0007322Early Childhood Education
Open to: Grades: 12, 11, 10 Credits: 8 Credits Terms: Full Year This course is an overview of early childhood education and is designed to prepare the student to perform in various child care settings such as day care centers, nursery schools, home day care and early elementary classrooms. Course content includes: early child learning; observation and assessment; communication and job seeking skills; early childhood curriculum models; the role of play in children's learning; growth and development; and parenting issues.
A field experience in an early childhood setting will be available. Students are eligible for certification in basic first aid and infant-child CPR. Required:Career Center Application
