Pre-tech: Construction Trades

Open to: Grades: 12 (with Permission), 11, 10, 9 (with Permission)

Terms: Spring Semester

This course covers the latest in building science, design, energy efficiency, and construction techniques. Basic competencies in drafting and technical drawing are covered. All aspects of the construction and related trades industries including health, shop management, environmental issues and financial management are included.

Course activities include lecture/demonstrations, discussions, labs, onsite work, and field trips. Students considering a career in engineering, architecture, construction management or any of the building trades should consider this course.
