CM007810Technical Math IV
Open to: Grades: 12, 11, 10, 9 Credits: 4 Credits Terms: This course employs an interactive, workplace-centered approach to teaching advanced mathematics topics. Students build upon their algebra and geometry foundations as they expand their understanding through other mathematical experiences and become prepared for college level mathematics. In this course students learn abstract concepts through concrete experiences. It is ideal for the student who has completed Algebra I and Geometry (or the first two to three years of an integrated high school level math program) and wants to reinforce these concepts and preview Algebra II to ensure their success in Algebra II. It is also an excellent choice for students to take after Algebra II if they need to review those concepts and ensure they do well enough on college math placement tests, such as the Accuplacer, to place into college level math.
