C0007335Technical Electronics I
Open to: Grades: 12, 11 Credits: 8 Credits Terms: Full Year This hands-on course teaches basic electronic theory to create a strong foundation for those students wishing to pursue careers in technical fields. It offers excellent preparation for engineering bound students as well as those seeking to enter directly into electrical and optical apprentice programs.
Areas of study include DC, AC and RCL circuits, acoustics, solid state theory, power supplies and amplifiers. Lecture, discussion and hands-on lab experiments allow the student to learn complex math based theories. Group discussions focus on new and emerging technologies. Electronic circuit computer aided design software is utilized to promote further understanding of the subject matter. Required:Career Center Application

Students that successfully complete this course will also receive 4 college credits from Vermont Technical College.
