This is a hands-on course designed to immerse the student in the fundamentals of film making through non-linear digital editing and compositing using the Apple G-5 based Final Cut Pro and a variety of integrated software such as Flash, Adobe PhotoShop, AfterEffects, and 3D Carrara.

Each student will be introduced to the basic concepts of film/video production and explore the skills and knowledge involved in directing, working with actors, cinematography, lighting, picture, and sound editing, and become familiar with the processes of digitizing and manipulating video in the computer.
