C0007180Automotive Technology
Open to: Grades: 12, 11 Credits: 16 Credits Terms: Full Year The following competencies will be developed, demonstrated and measured during the Automotive Technology Program: career goals, using technical manuals, applying on-line, on-demand electronic repair information system, automotive brakes, electrical and electronic systems, engine performance, and suspension and steering. Shop safety, management and environmental issues are also covered.
The course is divided between related classroom theories and hands-on repair projects in a newly constructed state of the art dealership environment using the latest in diagnostic equipment. Required:Career Center Application
Prerequisites:
Recommended: Mechanical Drawing, Algebra I, Geometry and Algebra II. Notes:
This class meets BOTH Block 2 and 3.
