Horticulture & Landscaping Technology

This two block program studies the world of plants andjobs associated with the Green Industry. Students will explore growing, planting, and maintaining plants through hands on activities and related academic studies including management of a 1,500 square foot greenhouse. Equipment students will use includes a skid steere, moweres, weed trimmers, backpack blowers, chain saws, rototillers, and more. Off site activities include landscape projects in the community.

Students will become CPR and First Aid certified. Fields of study include arboriculture, landscape construction and maintenance, greenhouse operations, and floral design.
