C0007310Medical Human Services I
Open to: Grades: 12, 11 Credits: 8 Terms: Full Year Medical Human Services introduces the student to a variety of careers involved in working with and helping others. Each student is exposed to the principles and practices ant medical human services worker requires in providing knowledgeable and accurate care. A work based learning experience is provided in an actual medical human service setting.
Through work experiences, community involvement, and classroom instruction, students increase their awareness of individual needs and refine personal employment skills for working with clients and patients of all ages. Students may earn certification in basic first aid, Adult and Infant Child CPR, Blood borne Pathogen Training, and Career Safe Online. After school employement or credit is available through the Cooperative Work Education Program. Required:Career Center Application
Prerequisites:
Students must successfully complete one year of high school science. Notes:
Students successfully completing BOTH the first and second year of Medical Human Services are eligible to recive a one year course credit in science or social studies.
This class meets Block 1.
