C0007182Smart Skills, Maintenace And Repair Technology
Open to: Grades: 12, 11, 10, 9 Credits: 4 Terms: Spring Students will investiage various methods and problem solving activities by working in the multiple technology labs at the Career Center. Areas of technology that will be covered are: safety, construction, small engines, automotive technology, horticulture and natural resources.
Many of the activities throughout this course will be based on common life situations that can be solved with basic knowledge, experience with tools, and available resources. The purpose of this course will be to assist students to become better consumers, help them obtain new skills and knowledge, assist with related daily living tasks, create potential opportunities for career choices and save on personal expenses in the future.
Examples of activities include: intro to home maintenance, hand tools, lawn, landscape, auto design and purchasing.
Students will be engaged in both individual and group work to complet projects and assignments. Required:Career Center Application

This class meets Block 1.
Successful completion of this course will enhance approval for admission to other WRCC programs.
