C0005285International Business
Open to: Grades: 12, 11 Credits: 10 Terms: Fall/Spring Learn what International Business is through the experiences of local business people whose conduct businesses internationally! This course introduces the student to the unique challenges and concepts necessary for today’s global workplace, including cultural and social influence on global trade, international trade, and careers in the international marketplace.
Objectives are met via field trips, guest speakers, reading and writing, workshops, and project work. Capstone project will be developed based on individual interests and will be presented at the end of the semester. Students will be required to participate in an overnight trip to a center of international trade. Prerequisites:
BUS1140.
Membership in FBLA is highly recommended. Notes:
Introduction to College Studies through CCV is incorporated into this course.
Students must complete additional class time at CCV one day per week for one hour. Qualifying students will receive three college credits from CCV at a nominal fee.
