Pre-tech: Automotive Technology

Open to: Grades: 12 (with Permission), 11, 10, 9 (with Permission)

This pre-tech course introduces students to the automotive and transportation-based occupations. Basic welding, heating and cutting procedures are included. Health, shop safety, environmental, financial and all aspects of this growing industry are reviewed.

The course is divided between classroom study, automotive shop projects, warehouse management activities, demonstrations, and field trips. Students considering an application to a full-day Career Center program in Automotive are encouraged to take this course.
