Gershom found out about the career center after moving to the United States and introducing himself to the school. He expressed interest in learning about business and finance, and a teacher directed him to the career center, where he applied and was accepted. He appreciates how the career center broadens his understanding of the business world, teaching specific and valuable skills. Part of his schooling includes being in a paid apprenticeship work-based learning program at Brattleboro Savings and Loan. For the future, Gershom hopes to open his own business when the right time comes.
